OOOUCH!

On Monday I had to take Jakob to the dentist for a check-up and cleaning, plus a couple weeks ago we notcied that his bottom big boy teeth were growing in behind his baby teeth, but yet the baby teeth weren't loose. I knew what the dentist was going to want to do, but kind hoped that he wouldn't have to, but he did--he pulled both of his bottom baby teeth out so the big ones could grow properly. Jakob has never had a cavity or any other major dental work done, so I was afraid he was going to freak out, but he was so brave and didn't even shed a tear! I couldn't believe it! (Thank goodness he didn't inherit the fear of the dentist from his mom, because I would have been balling my head off if that were me!) The dentist put his teeth is a bag and told him to leave it under his pillow, so the first thing he did when we got home was ran straight to his room. This morning he woke up to a 5 dollar bill under his pillow! I think the toothfairy must have seen how brave he was at the dentist! You are a trooper Jakob, we love ya!

Fun In The Sun

It's finally open! We took the kids to the rec. center on Saturday to go swimming. They were so excited! I think I have been asked at least 100 times since last summer when the pool was going to open again, so since it was open for the weekend we decided it would be fun to take the kids. Mason has been in swim lesson for the past 2 weeks and is almost swimming without floaties, so Wade spent alot of time in the free-swim area letting him get some good praciting in and Jakob invited his best friend Garrison along and they spent most of their time on the big slide.
This was Hannah's first visit to the pool. We where there for 3 hours and she seemed to enjoy every bit of it, luckily the water wasn't too cold or that could have changed things a bit. Her and I did take several breaks just to get out of the sun and she loved to just lay on the lounge chair like a big girl and look around at everything. It was a fun day and we look forward to the rest of the summer to spend by the pool! (I just wish that pool was in my own backyard!)

Happy 6th Birthday Jakob!

I can't believe my baby is already 6! Jakob celebrated his 6th birthday last Friday. He woke up and could not wait 1 minute to open his presents. He got a razor scooter he really wanted, a giant squirt gun, some new clothes, a car (from Hannah) and a game (from Mason). Then dad took him to Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast, he got to share cupcakes with his kindergarten class, played outside for a couple of hours with his new toys after school and then we took him to Olive Garden for dinner and met Oma and Opa there. After dinner we took him to Nielson's for some yummy icecream. Jakob had a fun-filled birthday and it's not over yet. He really wanted to have a pool party and the pool doesn't open until this Friday, so he will get to celebrate his birthday all over again, what a lucky kid! Jakob we love you so much and appreciate what a good boy and big brother you are. We hope you had the best birthday ever!

May Days

We seemed to have a lot go on this month and it's not over yet, so I thought I better catch up before I get too far behind.

At the beginning of the month we decided to take the boys fishing. We were just going to go to a pond out in Boulder City, but decided to make the trek across to town to go to Floyd Lamb State Park and I am glad we did. It is such a beautiful park and kind of makes you feel like your not in Vegas. Jakob had a blast catching fish and Mason enjoyed it for a little bit--I think he still a little too young, because he got impatient and decided chasing the geese was more fun! I met my friend Joanne there and we took the kids for a walk and went to see the peacocks, baby ducks and baby geese. It was a fun day and we look forward to going back again soon!
The Johnson family May Birthday Boys! We had our monthly FHE hosted by Johnny & Steph to celebrate Matt and Jakob's birthdays. Steph provided some yummy cakes for dessert, the adults chatted and the kids had tons of fun playing. It is always fun to get together with the family and now that we live in Henderson, our monthly FHE is usually the only time we see everyone, so I am grateful my mom insists on doing them.
We also celebrated Mother's Day with my mom that evening. She received some fun gifts from everyone and she deserved it. She is a wonderful mom and a great example to me. I love her tons and am very thankful to have her in my life!
Happy Mother's Day to me! Saturday night my hubby and kids took me out to dinner. Then on Sunday the kids gave me a Swiffer Wet Jet (don't worry-I wanted it!) and Wade gave me a giftcard to Lady Footlocker to buy some workout clothes (don't worry-I wanted that too!). After church Wade made a yummy dinner for us, packed his own lunch and headed off to work. Sunday's are kind of hard with his work schedule-so thanks for all you did for me and the lack of sleep you got because of it all-I appreciated everything and love you tons! I am so thankful for my kids and I love being a mom-even though it's the hardest job I've ever had!

Last but not least-I took Hannah to get her ears pierced! She doesn't look to happy about it in this picture, but it was the best one I could get that you could actually see the earrings. We went to Libby Lu's at the mall and the pierced both ears at the same time. She cried pretty hard for a few minutes then fell asleep and when she woke up she was back to her normal, happy little self-smiling at everyone she saw. Now she looks even more like the little princess that she is! Hopefully she won't be mad at me when she gets older for doing that to her!

Husband Tag!

I am kind of a boring person, so I really don't like doing these tag things because I feel like I never have anything interesting to say, but here you go...

1. What is his name? Steven Wade Heiselbetz, goes by Wade.
2. Who eats more? Wade does, he can down a couple of double-doubles from In-n-Out and not gain a pound, I just drive by and look at it and gain 5lbs., I don't get it!
3. Who said I love you first? I can't remember, but probably me-Wade was pretty shy!

9. Who pays the bills? Him.
10. Who cooks more? Me, but when it comes to grilling-he's the master!

12. Who is more stubborn? We both are, but he would probably say that I am more than he is.
13. Who is first to admit they are wrong? Probably him, even when he knows he's right and I am wrong, just avoid an agrument.

Kindergarten Field Day!

Last week we got to go to Jakob's school for the Kindergarten Field Day! It was lots of fun to watch all the kindergartener's, they all seemed to feel so big and proud to be on the "Big Kids Playgroud" and excited to play games instead of being in the classroom! It brought back memories from when I was in elementary school, field day was one of my favorite days! Jakob had a great time and even Mason got to participate in most of the events!

She's Already Rolling!

Ready,
Set,
Roll!!!

The other day I was changing Hannah's diaper and getting her ready for the day and decided to give her a little "tummy time" before I got her dressed and she rolled over! Just another one of those little milestones that make you realize how fast time flies! It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital and now she is 3 months old and smiling, laughing and rolling! Why do they have to grow so fast?
