Is Something Wrong?

Okay-This girl sleeps soooo much, I am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with her! By all means, I am not trying to complain or anything and I am very grateful for the full nights sleep i'm getting, but really it is crazy how much she sleeps! She is still sleeping between 7 and 8 hours during the night and for the past 2 days, she has taken a 4 hour nap in the afternoon. This doesn't include the 1 hour nap she has in the morning, plus a few cat-naps in between it all! I guess I am a little shell-shocked because the boys never even came close to sleeping this good. It's been kind of nice to have such a good baby. There is not much else to report other than she is growing and getting big way to fast. She smiles at everyone, even strangers at the store--she is such a happy baby and must know how cute she is! She has started giggling and loves to watch her big brothers and t.v. She has been so much fun to have in our family and we all love her to pieces!

Clark County Fair 2008!

Make a slideshow - it's easy!

Well this is a couple weeks late, but as I always say, better late than never! I guess you can say that going to the fair has become a family tradition for us. Last year Wade's parents opened a catering business called Maggie Ann's and gave the fair a try and it was a success, so they went back again this year! While Wade was busy working, I was busy keeping the kids entertained! We had a good time, the kids got to go on lots of carnival rides, get their faces painted, see and pet lots of animals and play with their cousins, which was their favorite part of the whole weekend! On Friday night, Wade took the boys to the rodeo and on Saturday, we got to watch our nephew Connor in the mutton bustin' contest, which was really fun to watch! Connor was a brave little boy and did a great job! All in all, we had a great time, but I think we were all glad when it was over, espcially Hannah-she didn't really enjoy the heat and the wind! Now we get to look forward to next year-whoo hoo!

Good Job Jakob!

Last week Jakob came home with his report card from kindergarten. As most of you know they don't get actual grades, but rather just inform you if they are meeting the standard requirements or not. So I was looking through the report card and came to the end and there was a note from his teacher expressing how proud she was of how well he has been reading, then at the bottom of his teacher's note, there was a hand-written note from the principal asking Jakob to come to her office to read her a story! So this week he gets to go read to the principal! We are so proud of Jakob, even though it is just kindergarten, he really has been working hard to learn to read and write! We feel lucky to have such a wonderful teacher for Jakob and a principal who takes the time to recognize students on an individual basis! It really made Jakob feel special and it gave me an opportunity to talk with him about how working hard and doing good in school brings special rewards! So that night to celebrate we took him to his favorite place for dinner--Subway, yummm!

A Special Weekend!

This past weekend was really special for our family! On Saturday we were able to go out to Logandale for our niece Hailee's baptism. It was a beautiful baptism and Hailee looked gorgeous all dressed in white! Congratulations Hailee, you are a beautiful girl and a good example to your brothers, sister and cousins! Jakob can't wait until he turns 8 so he can get baptised--only 2 more years! Then on Sunday we were able to bless Hannah. It was a beautiful blessing and Wade did a wonderful job. I am so thankful for him and the priesthood he holds so that he can perform these special ordinances for our family!

This is a picture I will always treasure! The baby blessings of the boys were wonderful and days I will never forget, but Hannah's was a day I sort of always dreamed of and hoped for, simply because she was able to wear this beautiful dress that I was blessed in myself and was handmade by my mom and her Oma! I am so grateful for her and her sweet little spirit!

Afterwards, all of our family came over for some delicious food provided by Maggie Ann's Catering (i.e. Wade's parents). We also had some delicious desserts that were provided by Hannah's Oma, Aunt Steph and Uncle Marc! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a wonderful day for us to remember--we are truly blessed with wonderful family! We love you all!
