Snow Day!!!
Well as most of you have already heard Vegas/Henderson received a "big" snowfall! The kids in the Clark County School District had their first snow day in almost 30 years! The boys were so excited when they saw the snow start falling, but it took over an hour for it to actually start sticking and they could not wait to get out in the backyard and play! Then when Wade woke up, he decided to run down to Big 5 and buy a sled so we could go over to the park near our house and take the kids sledding. It was a blast, minus the fact that by the time we got the park the snow was really falling and we could hardly see, but we didn't let that stop us! When we got back Wade went out and measured the snow in our backyard and we were at 5 inches-WOW! By the time it finally stopped we ended up with almost 8 inches! The next morning Wade got out his Rhino and hooked the sled up to the back and we headed down the street and pulled the boys (and myself and Hannah) around on the sled, then we headed over to the Water Tower hill for more sledding! We all had soooo much fun, but as you can see by the picture of the boys crying-we do not have proper snow gear living in Vegas-their feet and hands were wet and cold and they had had enough for the day. Luckily we had enough that it stuck around for a few days so they were able to get plenty of snow play in and now I am glad it's gone! I loved it while it lasted, but I realized why I love living in Vegas-I am not a fan of being cold at all (just ask Wade) and by about the 5th time I had to put on 3 sets of hats, gloves and coats, I began to wonder why people like to live where it snows-no thanks! I will take the heat any day over snow! But, I am glad we got to have some fun days in the snow-it actually made it feel more like Christmas for a change!

my kids were sooo jealous! We got nothing here...except a day off of school. Too funny! Merry Christmas!
OH, you are so lucky!! I saw already pictures in the news and I couldn't believe it, that you are having snow! My kids are waiting for snowing, but nothing happens here. It's grey and foggy, terrible. It would be nice to have a white christmas here in Germany! So enjoy it! I don't like very cold days, too, but a walk in the snow is great. So we just can wait.
Merry Christmas and thanks a lot for you card, arrived today.
That is so amazing! You got way more snow than most of the people we know in Vegas. I'm glad you were able to enjoy it.
How fun Jess. We didn't get that much snow, we should have come to your house. I'm with you too on living in snow...NO THANKS! I'm good to play in it for a couple minutes and then I'm done.
Welcome to my life! It really is a pain! You can't go anywhere without bundling everyone up, which takes forever! And I HATE driving in it! I am ready to leave Utah!
