Christmas Eve-Part 1

We spent the first part of our Christmas Eve with my family. It has become a tradition to go bowling in the late afternoon on Christmas Eve. We always have a good time and the kids enjoy getting together for something fun and different! After bowling we had some yummy dinner with my parents at the Olive Garden-yum, yum! After that we headed home for Christmas Eve-Part 2.

Jakob and Opa
Our Little Family! (We didn't get a group picture this year)
Mason watching his ball roll down the ramp and hoping for a strike!
Jakob also hoping for a strike!
Hannah just enjoyed watching the balls come out of the ball return and playing by the air vent!

Snow Day!!!

Well as most of you have already heard Vegas/Henderson received a "big" snowfall! The kids in the Clark County School District had their first snow day in almost 30 years! The boys were so excited when they saw the snow start falling, but it took over an hour for it to actually start sticking and they could not wait to get out in the backyard and play! Then when Wade woke up, he decided to run down to Big 5 and buy a sled so we could go over to the park near our house and take the kids sledding. It was a blast, minus the fact that by the time we got the park the snow was really falling and we could hardly see, but we didn't let that stop us! When we got back Wade went out and measured the snow in our backyard and we were at 5 inches-WOW! By the time it finally stopped we ended up with almost 8 inches! The next morning Wade got out his Rhino and hooked the sled up to the back and we headed down the street and pulled the boys (and myself and Hannah) around on the sled, then we headed over to the Water Tower hill for more sledding! We all had soooo much fun, but as you can see by the picture of the boys crying-we do not have proper snow gear living in Vegas-their feet and hands were wet and cold and they had had enough for the day. Luckily we had enough that it stuck around for a few days so they were able to get plenty of snow play in and now I am glad it's gone! I loved it while it lasted, but I realized why I love living in Vegas-I am not a fan of being cold at all (just ask Wade) and by about the 5th time I had to put on 3 sets of hats, gloves and coats, I began to wonder why people like to live where it snows-no thanks! I will take the heat any day over snow! But, I am glad we got to have some fun days in the snow-it actually made it feel more like Christmas for a change!

Santa Train!

A couple weeks ago we went out to Boulder City to do our 2nd Annual Train Ride with Santa! It was kind of a hetic morning. Wade left early with the boys to go out and watch a truck race and I was trying to tackle the task of getting ready with Little Ms. Busy Body (not the easiest thing to do, if you read the post below). Wade was planning on being at the train station early and waiting in line so that I wouldn't have to wait so long with Hannah. I left about 20 minutes before our scheduled train ride, thinking that gave me plenty of time to get there and meet Wade. I got half way there and realized I left our tickets at home-ughhh! I quickly turned around and raced back home and raced back to the train station and we barely made it on our ride with just seconds to spare. The kids were super excited-the boys both love trains and couldn't wait to see Santa and Mrs. Claus! We had a great time and look forward to this little Christmas tradition each year!

Slacker

I have been such a slacker at posting and I have actually had a lot to post about, but never seem to be able to find the time to do so. Hmmm, I wonder why... could this be the reason?

Getting into make-up, and deciding to eat it...

emptying my box of garbage bags...for the 5th time in one day, OR...

getting her out of the toilet and toilet paper for the hundreth time in a day. It looks like I need to train 2 little boys to keep the bathroom door shut and my hubby and I need to install some cabinet locks! Then maybe I would get a little more done besides clean up mess after mess. I think Hannah is my busiest baby by far, and now that she is getting better at walking, I am sure it will only get worse.

I feel really bad that I never posted pictures of Mason and his first season of T-Ball. It has come and gone almost 2 months ago and I am just now finally getting around to posting about it-I still love you Mase!

He had a great time playing. This kid has one heck of an arm and a great swing! He could whack the ball all the way out to the grass, he just wasn't very aggressive in the outfield. He'd rather stand back and watch all his teammates tackle each other trying to get the ball, then get tackled himself-in a way I didn't blame him, but it drove Wade crazy that he wouldn't try to go after the ball more. Maybe next season he will feel a little more comfortable with it!

Don't little tots looks so cute in uniform! We love you buddy!

First Steps!

It's official-Hannah began taking her first steps a week ago last Sunday! I knew she would be an early walker because of how busy and determined she is with everything else, I just didn't think it would be this early-9 1/2 months!

She really likes walking to her big brother Jakob and then...

crash landing into his arms! She is still pretty wobbly and falls alot, but is making great progress for her age. She will be chasing her 2 brothers down in now time!

Thanksgiving

(The Boys-Jakob, Carson, Austin & Mason-These kiddos have so much fun together!)
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Wade's family in Panaca. It was a little rushed and crazy getting there, but we had a good time! Wade had to work Wednesday night and didn't get off work until 6 am Thanksgiving morning, so by the time he got a few hours of sleep in we didn't get to Panaca until 3 pm and lucky for us everyone was kind enough to wait until 5 pm to eat dinner! (I don't think I have ever had Thanksgiving dinner that late in my entire life-it seemed kind of weird!)
All the kids at their very own table anxiously awaiting some turkey-the poor things were starving after waiting all day to eat!
The best part about Thanksgiving was getting to spend a few hours with GG Jones. Since she has been in the rest home, we don't get to see her very often. Hannah enjoyed playing with her hands and the shiny sequins on her slippers-it was really cute to watch them play together!

Hannah is 9 Months Already?

Wow-I know I say this everytime I post about Hannah, but I really can't believe how fast the time is going by. Hannah turned 9 months old on the 6th. I took her in for her well-check last week and she weighs 20 lbs. and was 28 in. She is in the 80th percentile for height and weight. She growing fast and learning so much! She is still a very happy baby and I always get asked if she is always so happy and yes, she really is. She has become really head-strong though, when she sees something she wants, she puts her mind to it and gets it one way or another. She has also become very busy-I thought girls were suppose to be sweet, clam and mild, Hannah is really sweet, but I'm not sure about the calm and mild part-she is always right there trying to keep up with her brothers! Here are a few pictures of some of the things she has accomplished in the past month:
She has learned to wave bye-bye. It is so cute! Now she can really say bye to her Daddy when he leaves for work and loves to wave at the cars driving by when we are hanging out in our front yard!...
She has learned to clap. She claps when we say yeah or if she hears clapping on the t.v., she will stop and clap with the t.v.!...
She has also begun the beginning stages of walking-yikes! We bought her this little stroller about a month ago and as I was putting it together I thought maybe I was jumping the gun a bit, but she took right off like she had been walking with assistance for months! Ever since then she is getting faster and faster. She has also learned to balance herself to stand alone, without hanging on to something and will stand in the middle of the room for a good few minutes before falling down. I am afraid her walking is not too far in the future-I think she is just anxious to be able to run around with her brothers!

Her favorite hangout these days is unfortunately the bathroom. I swear she is obessed with the toilet and garbage can-yuck! I try to keep the door shut, but with 2 boys going in and out all day, sometimes it gets left open and she bee-lines it everytime she gets the chance. Last week I found one of her binkies in floating in the toilet-yum!

She also LOVES to be outside and lucky for me, the weather has been so beautiful that we have been spending many-a-day outdoors lately. She loves watching the kids in our neighborhood, going for walks in the stroller and her favorite-eating rocks! I have decided that for now she is far from being a girly-girl, she seems to be attracted to everything gross and dirty! I guess that's what happens when she has 2 older brother to look up to and copycat!
