A Special Visit!

Last week my Aunt Edeltrud came to visit from Germany! It was her first time coming to the U.S. The last time I saw her was when I went to Germany at age 13. It was fun to have her here and visit with her.
Mason and Aunt Edeltrud. We kept telling Mason that this was is Oma's (grandma) sister, but he insisted on just calling her Oma's friend!
The night before she left to go back to Germany, we had a family dinner at Johnny & Steph's house and everyone was there. This is Aunt Edeltrud with Jakob, Mason and all of their cousins!
A picture of the girls! My Mom, Aunt Edeltrud, my sister, Julie and me, looking nice and plump! It was great to have her and we will miss her!

My Baby Shower!

Yesterday I was given a baby shower by my wonderful family and friends and it was so much fun! Unfortunately, my camera was there, but did not get used so I don't have any pictures to post. But I just wanted to say thank you to all who came and to my family and friends that put the shower together! I received some wonderful gifts: dresses, bows, bracelets, shoes, blankets, diapers and more! Now I just can't wait for the little princess to get here, she is going to be one stylin' chic! Thanks again to everyone for making yesterday a special day for me to always remeber!

Happy New Year!

Since Wade will forever be working on New Year's Eve, we went and celebrated at my friend Shalayne's house. Her and 4 other girls that live by me all have husband's that work at Metro, so we decided to all get together and let our kids play and have some munchies. At about 11:00 p.m. we took the kids outside to throw some confetti and do some poppers and party horns! The kids had fun playing and the girls had fun chatting!
After the excitment ended at my friends house ended we headed home to watch the fireworks on t.v. and believe it or not, both the boys actually made it to midnight and saw the fireworks! Jakob thought he was really cool for staying up that late. (Thank goodness for me they slept in till about 9:30 the next morning!)

Ethel M. Chocolate Factory!

Last weekened we took the kids to the chocolate factory to see the beatiful Christmas lights and Santa of course! Here is Jakob looking like "Gangsta G" with his beanie pulled down so far you can barely see his eyes.
Mason and Santa! He couldn't wait to tell Santa that he wants a blue scooter for Christmas!
Here is the fam! The picture is a little blurry, but this is in the botanicle catus garden. If you have ever been, you know what an amazing job they do with the lights. If you haven't been, you should go, it is a fun christmas activity and best of all, it's free to the public! Not to mention the free sample of chocolate you get after take a little tour of the factory!

Girls Night Out!

Let me just begin with saying that Joanne is the best friend a girl could have and I love her to death! About a month ago she called and told me she won tickets to Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian. Her husband opted not to go, so I got to be her replacement date. We started the night off right by going out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (yummm!) and then we headed to the show and it was amazing! Afterwards, we planned on going back to the Forum Shops to do some shopping, but unfortunately I was feeling under the weather, so we called it a night. It was a blast! Joanne, thanks for the awesome date and I love ya to pieces!

Train Ride With Santa!

Long time no blog! I guess with Thanksgiving and the Christmas season starting, life has been busy. Anyway for some holiday fun, this past weekend we took the kids out to Boulder City for a train ride with Santa. It was a lot fun, as the train went up and down the tracks, Santa and Ms. Claus stopped to visit with the kids and let them tell him what they would like for Christmas. It was a fun holiday tradition to start with our family!
